Glass Grit
Glass grit is a safe, ecological, and non-metallic material. In abrasive blasting, glass grit is reusable and environmentally friendly. The dust generated in abrasive blasting does not contain respirable crystalline silica (SiO2). It does not leave any metallic residues or impurities when reacting with surfaces. Due to their angular particle shapes, glass granules are more abrasive than round glass beads during blasting but significantly softer than various alumina grades. Applications:
Glass grit is used for cleaning and rust removal, lime scaling, and creating a smooth surface on materials such as steel, non-ferrous metals, aluminum, concrete, and wood, resulting in a low roughness profile and protective coating processes. It is also used as a filler material in the chemical and construction industries.
