Hard Iron Grit
Hard iron grit is produced through the processes of iron smelting, atomization, crushing, and then sieving to obtain appropriately sized particles. This reusable grit is highly hard and provides a very sharp roughness profile due to its sharp-edged, cooled iron particles, allowing protective coatings to adhere properly to surfaces and effectively remove heavy paints. It is particularly suitable for processing metal surfaces in pressure blasting machines. Due to its hardness and high carbon content, cooled cast iron repeatedly breaks down into sharp-edged particles, resulting in very high abrasion performance with short blasting times. Our expert technical team is always happy to assist you.
Applications:
Hard iron grit provides extremely fast cleaning and efficiency in cleaning the surfaces of steel, cast iron, and cast steel, as well as in lime removal and rust removal applications prior to coating or painting.
